Women artists and photographers were early adopters of photography and made important contributions.
Join Shannon McGrath and Micheila Petersfield, who will present and discuss their distinctive art and photographic practices - which are represented in our current exhibition.
Shannon balances her commercial architectural and interior photography with her photographic abstractions. Micheila utilises both photography and painting in her subversive self-portraits, that challenge prevailing female stereotypes.
The talk will be followed by a brief moderated discussion with both artists, incorporating a Q&A with the audience.
After the presentation, visitors will have the opportunity to view the JAHM exhibition PHOTOGRAPHY: Seeing is Believing, and are invited to join us for refreshments in our apartment.
